Riding in the Rain

While most riders don't enjoy the wet pavements, I find it therapeutic.

Crossing three ridges twice provided a good workout, and the rain freely washed the sweat and heat away.

Most of the time the rain was a light drizzle that kept the road wet, but there were times of intense downpour that filled the shoes with water. While you do have to be a little more attentive to drivers and road conditions, the road seems to smooth out, and it's much more difficult to overheat in a good downpour.

Looking ahead, Sunday's ride looks to be a leg burner, with 10 ridge crossings.

See you there!
